1. TEAMS

The teams are made up of 4 climbers and at least one of them should be a girl respectively a boy. Therefore the teams can be made up of (a) three boys and a girl (b) two boys and two girls or (c) three girls and one boy. There shall be neither differentiations nor categorizations, independent of the way the team has been made up.

The competition is of the “open” type. At the formation of the teams, the competitors have total freedom of choice (inclusive of mixed teams in terms of nationality, race, sexual orientation or religion). There are no age limits. The competitors under the age of 18, shall have to produce the written consent of the parents or as the case may be of the tutor or legal curator.

Each team shall nominate a team leader who shall act as a representative in front of the organizing stuff. The team members should preferably identify themselves by means of clothing, mark or symbol, as belonging to a certain team.

2. ROUTES

The competition shall take place on 4 different areas.

Each area shall be allotted a competition block with 2 different routes one for girls and one for boys.

3. STAGES OF THE COMPETITION

  • Qualifications
  • Final – 6 teams shall qualify at this stage

The competition shall be entered into, in the following order:

  • Qualifications: by drawing straws
  • Final: shall take place in the reverse order of the qualification in the final

Time allotted for each competition area

  • Qualifications: 15 min
  • Finals: 20 min

Arbitration competition

In the competition area, there shall be a table, where the registration number of the routes shall be written on the columns and the name or number of the team on the lines.

Near this table, permanently, there shall be a referee who shall be responsible with the marking of the routes accomplished by the competitors. Before trying a route, the competitors shall inform the referee who is responsible for the area they are located in and this try shall be validated by the same referee. The try shall be validated in the moment the competitor shall double and control the top hold. The referee who validated the try shall communicate this to the referee near the table board.

Any route from any competition area shall have 1000 points.

The accomplished points shall be summed up and the competitorrs shall be ranked.
